Within the framework of the Support Program of Non-Profit Sector Pro-Ngo our Organization was given the grant by the Agency for International Development (USAID) and Inter-Regional Public Foundation Siberian Civic Initiatives Support Center to carry out the project of Individual work with invalids in Buryat villages, their integrating for active independent life. The period of project validity is one year (from 09/15/2001 to 09/15/2002).

In 2002 there will be a traditional International

Meeting Baikal 2002 for people with disabilities in the Buryat Republic. The motor rally project will be carried out by the Department.

The Program Individual work with invalids in Buryat villages and their integrating for active indepentent life has the following goals:

	To popularize independent mode of life amongst disabled persons in Buryat Republic.
	To protect rights and interests of people with disabilities
	To extend the information about Centers of Independent Life in the world, to improve legal and legislative literacy of invalids
	To help invalids improve their health.
	To give individual consultations

We are planning:

	To shoot a film about our Departments activities which are held according to the project
	To publish a brochure with some papers and documents that should be known by every invalid.
	To issue a photoalbum of interesting meetings and measures

Our aims:

	To engage new young initiative members, who will be able to solve the key problems of invalids
	To extend communication amongst invalids, to help them get new information and make new friends.
	To reduce the psychological pressure of " 4 walls "

We are going to evaluate our work by participants�opinions about our projects
